The college organized a comprehensive programme to observe World Diabetes Day on June 21, 2024. The College Foundation Day celebration marks a significant milestone in our institution's history, commemorating 71 years of excellence in education since its establishment in 1953. The event was a vibrant mix of tradition, nostalgia, and forward-looking optimism, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and esteemed guests.
The Foundation Day event was meticulously planned, with each segment reflecting the college's rich heritage and dynamic spirit. The program included a welcome dance, a prayer session, a documentary on seven decades of college development, an engaging quiz competition.
CSP project viva was held on July 2023. First year students have done project work on topics like living condition of their community, food fads and fallacies followed, dietary patter s of their community, type of foods available in local markets etc. The main intention of this project is conducted to make students aware and know their own village and it's Condition. They also identified pro let's existing suggested ways to address them also. For the viva Dr Jyothi Kumari was internal Mr Gopinath and Avanthi were the externals.
In house project was done by 2nd year students to have an experimental work orient towards Research. During this project work they prepared mirakle mithai and these were distributed to anaemic pregnant women, and a Protein mix was given to children who were underweight and stunted for a period of 5 months and the impact of the supplement was analysed and the results were significant and improved HB levels in pregnant women and growth in children. It was a great experience and also helped them to be responsible and taught them the conditions of real world. For the viva Dr Swarnalatha was external member.

On September 6, 2024, the FSN department organized an awareness program focusing on Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD) aimed at educating the UG Commerce students about this prevalent health issue. The initiative was driven by a commitment to enhance knowledge about women's health, particularly among young women who are often unaware of the implications of PCOD and its management. It is in extension of national nutrition week program.

The National Nutrition Week 2024 was inaugurated on September 3, 2024, by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, marking an important event aimed at promoting awareness about nutrition and healthy eating habits. This year's theme was creatively presented by the enthusiastic 2nd-year Food Science and Technology (FST) students, setting the tone for a week of engaging activities and discussions.
Concluding program on season of creation was held on 4th October in CH S D St Theresa's College for Women(A),Eluru. Program commenced with Prayer. PrayerSong- by Keerthi Prasanna and Kusuma Priya first year Nutrition and Food Technology students. Bible reading: sr sandhya I B Com. "Ecospirituality and Prophetic Action to Protect Our Common Home". It was introduced by Dr Jyothi Kumari HoD, Nutrition and Dietetics saying ecospirituality is that which emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life and the sacredness of nature.
World food day was celebrated in Nutrivibe club on the theme right to eat for better future.Girls shared the information i. e., history objectives and importance etc on that day. Miss Harika Nutrivibe incharge conducted quiz on the information shared. Best answered were appreciated. HoD Dr Jyothi Kumari reminded the importance of world food day and green revolution.
Dr Jyothi Kumari Head of Nutrition and Dietetics was invited to speak to Helapuri Lion Club members. She gave a talk on adult Nutrition management. It included personal requirements, nutritional requirements and specific needs for male and female respectively.Nearly 15 members including president Mr Ramanaa agru, Secretary Bhaskar garu , treasurer and other senior members were present.
Students of food science and Technology and Food Science and Nutrition visited ASRAMedical college on 29th October,2024. They visited the dietary department as part of their practicalcurriculum. They were explained with storage facility, issue of items, ventilation, Preparation and distribution of food to patients by Dr Ms Anitha the Dietician.
