Staff Achievements 2023-24

  • On the occasion of 18th Foundation day celebrations of Adikavi Nannaya University, Vice-chancellor Prof Padma Raju presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr Sr Mercy P, Principal of the college for getting A+ grade in the IV cycle of NAAC on 23rd April 2024.


  • For outstanding efforts in the UNNAT BHARATH ABHIYAN Program the college is awarded an appreciation certificate by UBA Regional Cordinate Institute - Andhra University


  • Dr.K.Sreelatha, Associate Professor in the department of Physics & Electronics received the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award for the outstanding excellence in the field of Teaching, Research and Publications conferred by the International Institute for Social and Economic Reforms(R), Bengaluru on 18 th November 2023.


  • International Women’s day was celebrated on 5 th March 2024 in the college auditorium by Women cell. Along with Dr. Sr. Mercy P, Principal , Dr. A. Nirmala Jyothsna was presented “Women achiever” award by “department of Youth services”, SETWEL, Eluru, Govt. of A.P & “Women Cell” of our college.

  • Dr. Nanduri Gayatri Devi, Department of Chemistry, received the Antoine Lavoisier National Academic Excellence Award 2021 from Red Talks International Academic Excellence Awards conferring ceremony on the eve of National Technology Day, May 11th 2021.


  • Ms.G.Durga Vyshnavi, faculty of UG Department of English has qualified as UGC NET for eligibility for ASSISTANT PROFESSORin November 2020 with 71.3 percentile.


  • On 15th Dec., Dr.R.Indira of Department of Zooogy received INDO ASIAN -CHARLES DARWIN DISTINGUISHED SCIENTIST AWARD IN ZOOLOGY in the International webinar on goals – Quality education- The future organized by IMRF Institute of Higher Education & Research, India.

  • On 28th Dec., Dr.Naga Lakshmi of Department of Chemistry was awarded as Women Researcher from IJEMR. Department members felicitated Dr.V.Nagalakshmi for receiving Elsevier SSRN Research award conducted at International level -“IJIEMR-ELSEVIER SSRB RESEARCH AWARDS 2020”


  • Dr.K.S.V.K.S.Madhavi Rani of Department of Zooogy received INDO-ASIAN- RACHEL CASON DISTINGUISHED INNOVATIVE SCIENTIST AWARD IN AQUATIC BIOLOGY in the International Dialogue on UN goals –Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure organized by IMRF Institute of Higher Education & Research, India


  • Dr.M. Padmaja Assistant Professor and HOD of Department of Home Science was awarded “Indo Asian – Alton Brown Distinguished Innovative Scientist Award in Food and Nutrition” on 30th Dec, for participating in UN Goals – Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure & International Academic Excellence Awards 2020 organized as a part of “A Project of the IMRF in Honour of The United Nations Seventy Fifth Anniversary“.


  • Dr.M.Rama , Dr.V.Nagalakshmi and Mr.G. Srinivas Rao of Chemistry departmentattended Swayam - on 19th December 2020 and received the certificate on 24thDecember 2020. Theresian Chime Congratulate on behalf of Management and Staff for the course completion of NPTEL exam(Coordination Chemistry- Chemistry oftransition elements)

Staff Achievements 2019-20

  • St.Theresa’s has been Awarded the Governor’s Gold Medal and 6 Silver Medals in State Level Indian Red Cross Society Award Function.

  • Dr.Sr.Marietta D’Mello, Principal has been conferred with “Rotary Vocational Excellence Award” for the year 2020 and “Award of Excellence” at the International Conference of Multi Disciplinary research, Thailand and published her book – “Educational Research and the Community: Strategies for improvement through community engagement” – on an international platform amidst students, delegates & professors from Brunei, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, Korea and Thailand.

  • Dr.Sr.Showrilu, Vice Principal and Director of P.G. Courses Awarded as “Best Scientist Award in Physics”.
  • Dr.C.Jyothirmayee H.O.D. Chemistry department have been conferred “Best Researcher Award in Pharmaceutical Chemistry” by the IMRF at Malaysia in recognition of their research.

  • Dr.A.Nirmala Jyothsna HOD of Physics Department has been conferred Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award during the Academic year 2019 -20 for her remarkable achievements in the field of “Teaching , Research & Publications”

Staff Achievements 2018-19

  • Dr. R. Madhavi Mrs. Ume Salma H.O.D. of Hindi attended a two day training program organized by APHRDI, Bapatla on Human Rights 23 - 24 March 2018.
  • Mrs.R.Chittemma ,Youth Red Cross Coordinator and Mrs .Bhavani, Secretary attended an awareness programme regarding Youth Red Cross State level awards at ZPH School, Sanivarapupet on 11th September, 2018.
  • Dr.P.Jyothi Kumari and Dr. M. Rama gave an awareness talk on Outcome Based Education to the Staff members of St. Theresas College for Women on 1st November, 2018.
  • Dr.RSN Sarma, Lecturer in Commerce, was awarded Ph.D. in Commerce from Acharya Nagarjuna University.
  • Dr.A.Padmavathi, Lecturer in Microbiology was awarded Ph.D. in November 2018 for her thesis on Optimization of bacterial poly galacturonase obtained from Commercial crop field soils.
  • Dr.B.Annapurna, Lecturer in Computer Science has been awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University in December 2018. We congratulate the Ph.D. awardees and wish them fruitful years of service.

  • Dr.I.Annapurna received Best Paper Award from RDRF, Jaipur for her paper Importance of Statistical research in Agricultural Economics.

  • Major.Dr. P.M Celine Rose received best NCC officer award from Lt. Col. B. Leeladhar, commanding Officer, 19(A) BN.

  • Mrs.M.K.Padmalatha, Lecturer in English participated in the teaching professionals Olympiad, 2018 and achieved 7th rank in the region and 245th rank in National level and received a certificate of Appreciation.

  • Mrs.R.Chittemma and Ms.Y.Sailaja, Lecturers in Politics were awarded Best Campus ambassador awards for their creative work among students regarding National Voters day awareness for the past many years. Ms.Suvarna, Ms.Hemalatha, Ms.G.Anusha and Ms.Sravani were student awardees.

  • Dr.Mrs.I.Annapurna, Associate Professor, won "Best Paper Award" at 21st international conference on Advancements and challenge in social sciences & business management-interdisciplinary research and practice at Rajasthan on "Role of women entrepreneurs in India: Barriers and their impact on Economic development"
  • On the occasion of Republic day celebrations Mrs .Chittemma, lecturer in politics from the department of social sciences was awarded at the District level "BEST SERVICE COORDINATOR" in INDIAN RED CROSS by the District collector of West Godavari.
  • Dr.Sr.Marietta D'mello ,P.G. Director and Associate professor in psychology won "Best Paper Award" at the International Conference on "Women Education: states, position and dignity of women in India".
  • Dr. R. Indira and Dr. K Madhavi Rani Received "Best Paper Award" at the International Conference on 'Women in 21st century, challenges and prospectus'.
  • Mrs.M.K.Padmalatha bagged "Best Paper Award" for her paper women in 21st cent.oppertunities and challenges: A study of women character in films of Sekhar kammula in international conference-women in 21st century. Issues and challenges."
